Really? I didn't see a "PlayOnLinux Virtual Drives" folder in my Home I'll check it too. I'm guessing its different from my prefixes... I also notice that most PC Games also create a folder with config files, saves and other stuff in Home. Its a good idea to delete those too. So when you re-install a game it is a fresh install. I've seen games have problems because of the old configuration files and save games.

Its a symlink to ~/.PlayOnLinux/ well, the thing is, we cannot be sure what each and every program is going to install in there, so there is no way that we could automate that in every program. These would have to be done manually. I cannot think of an automated way to do it, without actually starting to write uninstall scripts to take out script-installed apps. It is a good idea to delete those, but even in Windows, when you uninstall most games and a lot of different program, those config and savegame folders do not get removed either. So, its the way the uninstaller of these programs are designed; to leave a trace of themselves behind, for whatever reason.

Agreed! I guess the game developers want to ensure your save games are safe even when you uninstall. Its a good idea.

Yeah. Im sure that has to be the reason behind leaving that stuff. Although it can cause issues, I have uninstalled games and reinstalled like, a year or more later in windows, and it was actually nice to see my assassins creed and mass effect saves still intact.

me too. Actually a lot of RPG games where you spend 50+ hours... I started backing up my save games. Cause I wouldn't want to loose my stats & inventory

Exactly! I played at least 200 hours in Oblivion. I would back it up ever time I was done playing for the day.

Word. I have devoted anywhere from as little as 40 hours to as much as 150 hours in a bunch of RPGs. FF8 taught me to have backup saves, and multiple saves that span hours before my current saves. That way, I wont get, for instance, stuck at the end 2nd disc, no enemies to fight but a boss, not leveled up enough to beat the boss, but no enemies to level up with, no previous saves, which means I have start the game over, after 40+ hours....... lol. That happened to me.

Not cool... I'm finding that RPGs are almost always 50+ hours of game play. Just so much to do, so much to manage, lots of exploration. Those are my favorite types of games because it becomes epic. At the same time its hard to play a new game because it takes me months to finish an RPG. I still like the quick run-n-gun Unreal Tournament & Battlefield games, but that is only for LAN Parties.
