Hello folks,

I'm trying to get League of Legends running on my system, but there is no chance doing this with playonlinux! :(

Any ideas?

Micha

I get the impression you didn't de-select Launch LOL during installation. You'll have to reinstall league of legends, uninstall LOL, reinstall again and make sure to de-select Play or Launch LOL.

Hi there

I'm giving a quite satisfied feedback about L.o.L.  (except for the Store)
The thread looks fresh so I'm re-using it.

Installed from: the WIP script provided by POL
(which downloaded game files as a 1.6GB  tar archive)
Wine Version: wine-1.5.3-LeagueOfLegends
(I assume it's 32bit and compiled from modified source)
Distribution: Ubuntu
Distribution Version: 12.04 LTS (Precise)
Architecture: x86 64bit
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 8600GT
Graphics card driver: 295.49

Desktop environment:
Gnome session fallback (gnome3)
(works a lot better than gnome-shell or unity with running games fullscreen, imho)

Behaviour:
  I'll state the negative since the rest is fine !

(!) - Under the Air client,  the Store won't display  (black blank page, no button, no error message)

- Spell casting visual timer *sometimes* don't update (remaining full);  this has been witnessed casting the generic Fallback (B) spell.

- A crash / bug report  dialog box keeps showing after a game ends, but there's no problem viewing the score screen and using the Air client afterwards  (except the store)

About graphics settings: I didn't bother trying high quality effects since it's a renowned cause of freeze (stayed on "Low" instead, and no shadows).
*Resolution:  1920*1080 (native)
*Character detail quality :   Medium
*Environment quality : Medium
*Spell effect quality: Low
*VSync :  False
* Shadows quality:  No shadows

->  Experience was smooth
