Hi I'm trying to run slender.exe horror game.
I saw on google cache that someone had the same issue as me, however if I try to open the page it says "I am not allowed to see this page",

So I'm starting a topic to hopefully see if anyone has had any luck getting the mouse to work to look around. The mouse clicks work, but nothing happens when I move it.

I'm very curious as to why this might be happening?

Thanks in advanced,
-David

that's weird, are you using just wine, or playonlinux? With wine I just put wine '/media/Games/Slender_v0_9_1/Slender v0.Slender.exe'

Or actually I think I added the slender.exe to winecfg first.
So in terminal
winecfg
then add application
Then I use win7 doubt it makes a difference though
It should work after that, I didn't load any libraries in winecfg to have it work.

In playonlinux press new to add slender, and then I went to miscellaneous and run exe file in this virtual drive.

It seems it's a known bug, and someone got a patch:
http://www.playonmac.com/en/topic-9111-Script_Slender.html

As for the data folder error, the name of the folder must be the name of the .exe plus _Data, i.e., if your .exe is called:
MySlender.exe
data folder must be:
MySlender_Data

Forgot about my own thread!! haha
Ya I was the one that posted in that topic, I forgot to post in here about the patch, sorry!
Good to hear about the data folder issue, I didn't have that problem... I wonder if it would run better if I did what you suggested. I have to turn off vertex shader in the wine registry in order for it to run smoothly. Of course it could just be the way wine handles it, I havn't used wine for any other game so I'm not sure.

EDIT: My folder was already setup like that, I wonder why your folder was different?

Btw to any moderator, I have the slender game on ubuntu one, I was wondering if ubuntu one is ok to use to post the public link so people can download it if they need it?
I know in the other slender thread mediafire wasn't allowed to be used, so I was just wondering. I didn't want to post a link to it without first getting confirmation from a moderator.

yes, i wonder why too (about the data folder). The downloaded game here comes with Slender_Data and Slender.exe.. Well, the solution I said fixes it, so -1 problem..

which key in the registry disables the vertex shader? thanks
