Hi, im really new to linux, so im not 100% sure on exactly what im doing but ill give it my best shot to try to make this as clear as possible.
I downloaded Linux Mint 13 Maya and installed playonlinux, then steam, and then tried to install Skyrim through both steam & playonlinux. It failed on both accounts, it would completely freeze on Steam and then i got a error message when installing through pol. First message i recieve during installation is that VCRun2008 might fail to install, next message recieved is as fallows [source] Fatal: This package does not work on a 64-bit installation.
Current hardware is as fallows:
Sony Vaio F Series VPCF115FM
8x Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU q720 @1.60GHz
6095MB DDR5
GeForce GT 330M/PCIe/SSE2 1GB
Linux Mint 13 Maya 64bit
Wine 1.4-0ubuntu4
playonlinux 4.0.14-1 & installed wine versions 1.5.4 & 1.3.37
So any help would be much appreciated, since as im writing this im downloading more steam games and probably going to have the same problem, so if i can learn to fix it id be very grateful. Thank for reading.
