Ok, the problem is solvable for you:

Type in a terminal

echo "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/wine:\\$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" > $HOME/.PlayOnLinux/configurations/custom

Then, remove all broken virtual drives.

Then, report a bug to your distribution packager, and explain them that their wine package is not able to build 32bits prefix.

(Give them these commands, and the answer of your terminal :

export WINEPREFIX="$HOME/Desktop/test"
export WINEARCH="win32"
wine wineboot

)

Unfortunately the exact same thing happens even after I do echo "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/wine:\\$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" > $HOME/.PlayOnLinux/configurations/custom
and Then, remove all broken virtual drives.
How can I make POL use only 64-bit wine like it did before? Also, will it help the situation if I completely remove the wine of my system and have the latest version installed from the autotool found on POL?

Too bad. Can you type :

file /usr/lib/wine/iexplore.exe.so

?

Quote from Rzarector

You cannot, and anyway, it would break a lot of stuff.

Also, will it help the situation if I completely remove the wine of my system and have the latest version installed from the autotool found on POL?

Quote from Rzarector

Yeah it will help. For the next version, I think that POL will no longer use system wine version. It causes too many problems.

[bill@localhost ~]$ file /usr/lib/wine/iexplore.exe.so
/usr/lib/wine/iexplore.exe.so: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped

It's definitely a problem from your distribution.

A solution is to run

[ "$WINEARCH" = "win32" ] && export WINEDLLPATH="/usr/lib/wine"

before running wine. But it might break PlayOnLinux wine versions.

What I would recommand you is to check if /usr/bin/wine is a binary file or a shell script. If it's a shell script, add my line before the real wine binary. If it's a binary, you could run
export WINEDLLPATH="/usr/lib/wine" before running POL, or add it to $HOME/.PlayOnLinux/configurations/custom

But if you do that, you might break PlayOnLinux wine versions. Send a bug report to Fedora

I did the following...
Uninstalled wine and all of the related to wine packages so there should be no "system" option on POL but there still is. Also, the problem insists. If I choose 1.5.3 before installing something it creates the virtual drive successfully but then it crashes when I choose the installation file (because it tries to use the default "system" wine). I have installed both x86 and amd64 wine 1.5.3 through the POL autotool. Very strange...
Anyway thanks for trying to help me you are very kind

All this is normal. We're going to fix this problem very soon

Have a look at this : http://alensiljak.blogspot.fr/2012/04/64-bit-wine-in-fedora-16.html,

and this : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742456

Installing wine.i686 resolved the problems. Thanks!
