Hi!

I have installed Oblivion from CD with no problems, and it runs perfectly. However, when I try to install Shivering Isles with my dvd mounted, I get a popup with the following dialog:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
A required security module cannot be activated.
This program cannot be executed (3000).

Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=module&c=3000 for further, more detailed information.

I'm running Linux Mint 12. When I do 'ls' in the /media/ShiveringIsles folder, I get:

autorun.inf  data1.hdr  data3.cab     layout.bin    setup.exe  setup.ini
data1.cab    data2.cab  engine32.cab  Oblivion.ico  setup.ibt  setup.inx

I really don't know what could be causing this, I bought this dvd and have installed it on windows machines in the past. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Prancer

Very strange..

I just tried again to install Shivering Isles with POL. I closed the error box and just finished the setup without installing from CD.

Then I opened a terminal in /media/ShiveringIsles/ and typed: wine setup.exe
It spewed some fixme errors like it has before, but this time it started installing, and completed successfully!

I don't know what was different this time, perhaps having set it up first in POL may have updated the registry? I have no idea why, but - it has installed.
