Thank you for producing and maintaining POL. I am a huge fan of the Tomb Raider series of games, all of which (except the latest) I have purchased and own.
So far, I have been able to install Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider V without issues, and both run perfectly, but I am having a problem with Tomb Raider III-Adventures of Lara Croft.
My system: Debian 6.0.4
Kernel: 2.6.32-5-amd64
Desktop Environment: Gnome 2.30.2
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GT 520 with Nvidia driver 295.40
When prompted to do so by POL, I insert the original retail cdrom media from its original jewel case, and Gnome mounts it automatically at /media/cdrom. I can browse the media without issues at that mount point using Nautilus, but when I proceed with the POL installation of the game and select "cdrom" as the media location, I get "Error: Unable to find CD-ROM!"
I do not believe the cdrom is physically damaged. It appears to be in pristine condition, and I have had no problems installing the game when running Windows systems. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have inspected the POL script for its installation carefully, and it seems to be an exact copy of the script listed on this site.
I have also considered simply copying the entire contents of the cdrom to a directory on my hard drive, but I would have no real idea how to go about performing a manual installation from there.
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated, and I will be more than happy to provide the original P/N from my retail copy of the game if necessary. Thank you for taking the time to read through all of this.
