I'd also be interested in information about compatibility of AutoCad (2013 and earlier versions on PoL. Will be watching this thread, thanks!

Hi, About AutoCAD, nobody in the team have it, and it's way to expensive to buy it just to write an installation script. A good source of infos for Wine compatibility in general is the AppDB, but it doesn't have anything about AutoCAD 2013 yet: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=86 Overall it seems that recent versions tend not to work, so I wouldn't have too much hope. Exactly the same thing about 3D Studio MAX: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=343

I used CAD for 8 years all day.... what an awesome program! I don't have a copy anymore, but the best I could find is AutoCAD LT 2013 trial. AutoCAD LTIts free and a 30 day trial. maybe someone could download it and see if it runs? Hell, I might even try it! If AutoCAD LT runs, then the full version should run too. The full version just requires a better video card for all the 3D modeling capabilities.

Word. I was going to say, Im surprised that something that expensive doesnt have a lightweight trial version, which I guess it does. Let the testing begin..... any takers? I have to work. haha
