I made a type-o in the title -- it should read "winevdm.exe."

I'm trying to install Might and Magic 6 on the latest versions of wine and playonmac. As soon as I try to install the program, a window pops up saying "The program winevdm.exe has encountered a serious error and needs to close."

I got this game to work before, but I never had this issue. I'm not too great with computers either. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

What version of PlayOnMac/wine did you use when you run this game?

I don't recall the specific versions since it was on my older mac, but I played it mostly during July, 2011 with whatever the most recent versions were at the time. I ran it on Snow Leopard, which is what I'm using now as well.

Have you tried older version of wine ?
