Hi,

my SC2 crashes quite randomly during games. about 50% of the time it crashes during the very first game, sometimes later, sometimes not at all (seldom..)

I am on Ubuntu 11.10 and my graphics card is a ATI Radeon HD 4850 with Catalyst 11.8

Starcraft 2 Crash-Reporter Output begins like this:

================================================================================

Interesting line: " The memory at '0x00000000' could not be written."
It's 0x0000.. at every crash. So some kind of overflow?

I would like to show you the POL debug output as well, but how on earth can one copy a line from XTERM?

Wine is version 1.3.24 but the crash happened with different versions as well.

POL is 4.0.14 from PPA.

Thanks for helping me out.

Okay, so here is the debug output from POL:

it says a LOT of time while the game is running:

fixme:d3d:resource_check_usage Unhandled usage flags 0x8.
And the last lines before the game crashes are:

fixme:process:GetProcessWorkingSetSize (0xffffffff,0x7dcafc,0x7dcb00): stub
fixme:dbghelp_dwarf:dwarf2_get_cie wrong CIE pointer
fixme:process:GetProcessWorkingSetSize (0xffffffff,0x7dc788,0x7dc78c): stub
fixme:ntdll:NtPowerInformation semi-stub: SystemPowerCapabilities

Still praying that someone sees whats going wrong here. I love SC2, but really don't want to return to Win :-(
