I wanted to propose a subject for studying YM! 11 working in Linux. Seems that lots of people are interested in having Y! Mess to be possible to run in linux, Ym seems to be more interesting than the usual Pidgin / Empathy, it has lots of features that every user would like to have them available. Think of it, it's a way of attracting users back in Linux. Some of my friends always ask : when will linux support Ym ? When will linux add Y! in the Wine projects, or at least Wine-derived projects ? Lots of interested folks would choose Linux because of virus-free software, but they're used to YM! It would be great to have a working YM! around, it can be a round escape for windows users who seek refuge from Microsoft, heh.
Anyone had any success in making it work ? (at least with wine 1.3.14 ?) Or can the Wine devs or Playonlinux devs make the impossible : YM! 10 / 11 on Linux ?

Myeah, I saw. It's a bad thing, they must think a bit about what are the advantages of porting YM into Linux, there are huge advantages.

I don't think so

There are a lot of native clients. That's not a priority for wine developers

What are the native clients, please? I realised yesterday that the messenger was no longer visible in Yahoo mail and discovered it is no longer supported without software.
