First I would like to thank you guys for making one of the best software available in linux imho. Everything has been great since i've installed POL.
I'm trying right now to use the Capture plugin to record some gaming. I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 x64 and trying to record Torchlight game. I open the game then ALT-TAB for playonlinux GUI and click on capture, i got this error msg:
/sbin/alsa
[main] Fatal:
Can anyone help me with this? I really want to record some linux gaming to show some friends what wine and POL can do !!
Thank you !

Install alsa-base and it should work.
Another thing, you don't have to alt-tab :
- Launch PoL
- Launch Capture plugin
- Select the game you want to capture on the list
- WHen the game is launcher, press ALT+F8 to begin and again to end the capture
All is written during captute excecution...

Unfortunately no success. I had already alsa-base installed. Still the error msg persists.
Thanks for the ALT+F8 tip though !!!

I'm having the same issue. I'd really like to record some video of myself and my Dad playing some games on steam, but the capture plugin refuses to start with the same message of:
/sbin/alsa
[main] Fatal:
I'm on Ubuntu 11.10, and from what I understand, pulseaudio creates a virtual alsa device for use from software that doesn't handle it.
Any ideas?

Fixed in git, will be officially released with PoL 4.0.17.
