Hello/Bonjour,
First post here! My friend introduced me to PlayOnLinux and I've found it helpful for getting a bunch of different Windows programs to run with Wine, thank you!
But now I'm doing something a little nonstandard I think, and I've hit a wall.
My distro is Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64 and I have both the Ubuntu 1.3 beta of Wine (32 bit) and I used PlayOnLinux to download Wine 1.3.2-64. I'm using Gnome for my window manager.
I am trying to install DAZ Studio 4 64 bit, but it's not going as planned. (It's not strictly a game, it's a 3Delight-based composition and rendering program...)
I go through PlayOnLinux -> Install "Other", tell it to use Wine 1.3.2-64, set up its own wineprefix, and find the installer .exe - the splash screen on the installer pops up, and then it complains that it can't run in a 32 bit environment and terminates.
Which is weird, because I'm pretty sure I set up this wineprefix to use 1.3.2-64 - Is this for running 64 bit windows programs, or is this "just" for running 32 bit windows programs in a 64 bit Linux environment? Or am I doing something else wrong? (I wouldn't be surprised)
Thank you/Merci,
Syndaryl
EDIT:
I mistyped the WINE version badly, it is 1.3.22-64b
