Hello,

I'm trying to get ToonTalk 3 (www.toontalk.com) to run under PlayOnLinux. So far no luck. What kinds of things can I do to narrow down what in particular isn't working, and perhaps thereby find a solution?

When I start TT a maximised window with a white background and the words "Please wait..." appears, and stays that way. System Monitor reports StartTT.exe consuming 25-60% CPU. The memory use climbs slowly but steadily, sitting at 50mb in about 5 minutes.

I installed using the full binary from http://www.toontalk.com/English/free.htm using POL manual install, and followed up by installing DirectX9.0c from the POL application list.

The code for TT is here, http://code.google.com/p/toontalk/, if that helps any.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10, 32bit and installed POL 3.7.6 via apt-get.

Regarding the failure to show an HTML Dialog that is using a MS Windows API for showing dialogs using HTML. This API relies upon pieces of Internet Explorer.

You can run ToonTalk without the start dialog (StartTT) by running TT3189.exe directly. Command line arguments can be provided as documented at http://www.toontalk.com/English/command.htm

Good luck.
