So I was using play on linux to install starcraft 2 and everything was going fine until it loaded the starcraft 2 installer which has no interface. It looks like the following:

Button's are there however. For example if I click where the install button should be it goes to the next screen which looks like this:

I can't get any further from here. Anyone know how to get the interface to show up?

I saw you already reported your problem on AppDB, it's an ATI/AMD driver problem.

Update your Graphic driver to Catalyst 10.10, them seems to fix many problems with SC2 game and use Wine 1.3.4 too, it fix the SC2 updater problem.
