Hello, POL noob here!
I'm having trouble installing the standalone Shivering Isles expansion from DVD (for Oblivion). The script downloads all the needed components (DirectX, etc) just fine, but when it comes time to select the drive containing the installation disc, I get the "Error: Unable to find the CD-ROM" message," no matter which drive I select (cdrom, cdrom0, cdrom1, ShiveringIsle, etc). Nautilus can read the contents of the disc.
The same thing happens when I attempt to install Fallout 3 (don't know if this deserves a separate thread or not).
And I just want to report that the script for the Oblivion 1.2.xxxx patch no longer works. I get the "Following server is no longer available: - The Elder Scrolls 4 - Oblivion" error.
All of my discs are 100% genuine and I had no problems installing or playing Oblivion.
I should also point out that during the installation I got a window that told me to install Wine gecko, preferably from my distro's package manager, but since I already had wine1.2-gecko installed and I think it wanted me to install wine1.0-gecko instead, I think I chose the option to download gecko instead. Just thought that I'd mention it.
I'm running Ubuntu Lucid
Wine 1.2 (although I think that POL installs a different version for Oblivion. For example, under .PlayOnLinux/WineVersions I have 1.1.44 and 1.3.1 installed??)
POL 3.8
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I'm wondering if you've made any progress with the Oblivion scripts. And if you have time, the Fallout 3 installation script isn't working either.
Also, how will I know that they are ready? Will they be added to the new version of POL, or will they be uploaded to the scripts page?
Thanks.

I'm still having problems installing the Shivering Isles expansion, as I still get the "unable to find CD-ROM" error. Nautilus has no problems reading the disc contents. Quite honestly, I don't think that POL is even reading the contents of the disc, as the error message pops up instantly.
I should mention that I have two disc drives.

No doubts, multi5 euro version is not the same your version (US ?).
Installer should be fixed, please try again and report :) Edited by GNU_Raziel
