I already have a custom wine build that I would like to submit for Reason 5. Its 1 patch, put into wine 1.5.20, then compiled. 32-bit build. It works great. I even have it so you can just un-tar it right into .PlayOnLinux/wine/linux-x86. I built it in a virtual machine, took the bin, lib, and share from the install of the custom build, tar'd it up, and tried on 2 machines so far with POL, and this wine build works perfect for Reason 5.

How do I submit a build of wine to you? I dont need it built, as its already good to go and works in POL, but as of now, in order to install it using my script, it has to be downloaded directly from my server, but I would prefer to have it on yours.

BUILD NAME:
1.5.20-Reason-5

Again, this build is already good to go, and can be installed into POL by un-tarring it and putting it into .PlayOnLinux/wine/linux-x86/

Again, Id much rather have it out on your server as well, so that everyone can benefit from it. If we can get it listed on your servers, I can modify my Reason 5 install script, and that will be another major music creation program that I have a script for install. This is something that stops a LOT of people from switching to linux (at least in the music creation community). Perhaps this will help sway some more. :D

Hi,

The current way of requesting a custom build is to fill a feature request in the bug tracker, with a link to the patch and any relevant informations for building, specially if not standard.

See for example http://www.playonmac.com/en/issue-1645.html

ok. its very straightforward. Im hosting the patch on my server right now, as I cannot find where I originally found it. It built just like any other version. Not an issue at all. Ill fill that out as soon as i get the chance.

Hello,
the build script returns a 404 error.

May I ask for a new build?
It's for the game Black & White, to fix a very annoying texture bug.

The build name could be wine-1.5.20-BnW-dxt13

The patch can be downloaded on wine's bugzilla:
wget -O wine-dxt13-to-argb4444-xrgb1555-conversion.patch http://bugs2.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=34559

I built it locally, and with this fix, the game runs great, and I could try crafting an installation script :-)

Thanks for your great work!
Merci ;-)

This is not the thread. This is called thread-jacking. lol.

Create another brand new post in the appropriate forum for this.
