Hello all linux-freaks :)

I think about to shift from windows to linux, because i think linux is more funny to work with. The problem is, i wan't my games to run on linux and then i found playonlinux and i must say, i'm really excited about it :)

My computer has 4 gb ram, and 2xGTX 260, so i need to run 64-bit, and that's maybe a problem, when i also need wine to play my games.

I can install Wine and Playonlinux with ease, but when i want to install a game, there is a problem. Steam runs fine, but if i try to run Command&Conquer after i installed it, it can't open just says "error", but nothing indicates in terminal that there are a problem.

When i try to install Counter Strike Source through steam, it says "incorrect user name", and i can't pass this. In the terminal it seams to search after my user name in the wrong directory.

My wine version: 1.1.38
Playonlinux version: 3.7.3

Is there a distro which is more used to wine/playonlinux?

Sorry for my bad english, hope it's understandable :)

Did you use NO-CD?

Issue with Program Files name in your language and Wine has now been fixed by me. Please reinstall CSS.

I currently reinstalled it all.

Now i can run assassins creed and counter strike with game community off :(

I run CSS through steam, but now i can add it to POL, but when i start it, it says

Your wine binary was not upgraded correctly,
or you have an older one somewhere in your PATH.
Or maybe the wrong wineserver is still running?

There is currently some problem more.

All the games lag a little, is there a way to fix it?
When i install css on POL, i can't pick 1920x1080 as my screen is.

Is there a way i can change the scripts on my self?

Try to set newer Wine version and please report if it was successful.

1) As I written above
2) Disable compositing managers like Compiz-Fusion, KWin, etc.

I already inserted that resolution into the list.

I haven't created that script but I think you can change resolution manually by editing
CSS in ~/.PlayOnLinux/configurations/installed
