Huhu,
I get this error when I try to install Star Wars Empire At War:
"Error: CD couldn't be found! "
(translated from German)
Well, iirc I also ran into this problem with Microsoft Freelancer. I am not sure if this is even a POL issue, it could be also that my both CD/DVD drives are broken, I haven't used them for a while.
But it seems that I can open the files on the ROM object.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Start terminal then type:
cd PATHTOMYCDROM
lsPost the output from both games.
BTW. Are your games original copies?

Yep, they are. Very sure.
Should I insert each disk into each drive?

Insert any disc in any drive. It doesn't matter.

Ok both scripts are written by Berillions, the other script writer. I'll send him message so he can look and fix the problem.

I just have to update POL to recieve your script, haven't I?
I just tried with both games, no success.
But don't worry about it too much, as I have said, it could be my rom drive(s).

In Freelancer script i changed the place of
setup.exe with Install.Exe
In second script everything should work. In both scripts i added Use_WineVersion.

You just have to click refresh in install window. Edited by NSLW

OK, I just tried with Freelancer and at least the installation gets further than the last time. I am not in the mood of installing this game now, but guess I will do soon anyways.
I also had to DL some Gecko thingy /info (POL reported that and it provided me the DL process)
What is meant by "Your memory graphic?". Maybe how much power my GPU has? How can I research that? I have an ATI Radeon 9550,

Hi. =)
I don't have this game so I have no chance to even try it. =(
Do you get the question "How much memory do your graphic card have got?." and you don't know what to answer? Well, the question is: "How many MB's of memory does your graphic card have?" and I really dunno if the question could become any more clear than that.
:p
The Radeon 9550 comes in several different versions (DDR1 128MB, DDR2 128MB and DDR2 256MB, I think) so you will have to try find out that by yourself. I think there will be info about that in ATI Catalyst if you use it. Edited by Dr Phil

OK. I was able to install FL but not SW EAW.
But FL does lag quite much, there is also a sound in the menu repeating all the time. When I clicked at Story button it seems that the loading process wasn't going to end soon.

Edit: It seems that I can't even run the normal win configurator anymore. Just no window appears...
€²: Ok, I can launch the configurator somehow now, but it took some time. Edited by Bas
