Hi, first time user of, wine and POL, so i have no idea what im doing, got the latest version of POL, and latest beta of wine, but i havent got one clue on installing one of my favorite games, even if it is an old one.

can someone please help me figure this out, and expand my knowledge in POL since we'r my knowledge is at 0% in that area right now, and i would love to learn all about installing a game like Medal of honor allied assault (MOHAA) and yes i know its an old game, but as an old quaker i still love it.

so, my questions.
1. is it possible to install MOHAA on ubuntu?
2. on POL?
3. how to?

soz POL 3.7.2 and WINE 1.1.36 on Ubuntu 9.10.

Take a look at the AppDB, http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=882.
It seems it should run quite well, but it might be a little tricky to get it going.

It should work better with POL, since you wouldn't need to edit all applications registry. (The OpenGL keys as suggested on the page)

Just follow the instructions on the AppDB-page and maybe use some trial-and-error. It would be great if you got it working, and possibly could write (or give us hints on how to write) a script for installing the game.
