I'm running GNOME on Ubuntu 9.10

Upon attempting to install Fables using POL, I'm getting two odd errors: One is that it tries to install Windows Media Player 9 and then scolds me for not having 7.0 or better. I installed WMP 10 as a separate POL install to get past this, but still it attempts to do so.

But the real trouble comes during the installation of the game itself, when I get a "fatal error -1603" that dumps out the install.

Any help or insight here would be appreciated. Thank you.
