does anyone know how to Install Solidworks on wine?
I would love to make It works ...

I think i could try to write script which will install Solidworks. I don't know which version though :) and when.

Ok.. There is already script for SolidWorks 2007 on forum. It works quite good. I hasn't found feature that doesn't work but I also didn't test it intensively.
I've got also SolidWorks 2008 and SolidWorks 2009, if they will work for me then soon I'll create scripts for installing them.

I've got some sad news for you: opening and saving files causes app to crash, but everything else works just fine. I already reported this to bugzilla and I think it wouldn't be fixed soon because this bug is present since 2007. Right now I use MS Windows for SolidWorks.

this are realy sad news. waht make me ask about solidworks 2006???
I tray to install solidworks 2006/2007 student edition on wine whithout any preparations,
the installtion ended successfully, but the program crash right after starting..
Can you think on any reason why??
is ther a way to make it works?

It would be nice if you could attach last lines from terminal. Anyhow try to do winetricks ie6 after or before installing SW2006

sorry but I dont know what do you mean with terminal???

If I login the terminal nothing happens there....

Im not very good at scripting, and was wondering if anyone has a script for solidworks 2012? any help with the install of 2012 would be greatly appreciated

SW2014 is latest x86 version. Will be very good if Wine support this version.
