Hello/Bonjour/Guttentag
As you might know there's an issue with the repositories for Ubuntu Jaunty. The instructions provided lead to an error message about wxgtk-python missing.
Here's how to get PlayOnLinux working on Jaunty:
1. Download and install cabextract from http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/cabextract
2. Follow the instructions at this site to add the wxwidgets/wxpython repository: http://wiki.wxpython.org/InstallingOnUbuntuOrDebian. Note that the instructions provided are slightly wrong -- rather than adding "Jaunty" to the apt line, you should add the word "jaunty" with a lower case J. This is important!
3. Add the Jaunty repository if you haven't already following the instructions in the Download section of this site.
4. Add the Wine repo and install Wine (see http://www.winehq.org/download/deb)
5. Install PlayOnLinux as described (i.e. sudo apt-get install playonlinux).
6. You'll find it on the Games menu.

Hi jauntyworker,
Are your sure there's always this issue on Ubuntu 9.04?
Because yesterday, I tested Linux Mint 7 (based on Ubuntu 9.04) and I had no problem when following the instructions.
Bye
