Hello,
I wrote script which installs Bioshock. It also can patch the game (tested on Bioshock Version 1.1 Patch Worldwide Retail.exe) after it's been installed
Wine version : 1.1.21
Distribution : Fedora
Distribution Version : 10 (32 bit)
Graphics card : Nvidia, GeForce 9xxx
Drivers of the graphics card : 185.18.08
Comments
-patch the game to latest version (1.1)
-game won't run with original Bioshock.exe
-the game has some stability issues

Icon for the game:

Far too much download and complicated loops.

Also, each of your scripts do not use our own DirectX package, cleaned from all the MS unused crap, you can find urls from my scripts.

Resumed :
-No need of winetrick (avoid any extra install if possible)
-Less loops and loops and loops (make your scripts lighter)
-Use internal urls

Update you scripts as soon as possible, i will test them. I can do it at least for Bioshock, Fallout 3, Unreal Tournament 3 and Gothic 3.

As soon as your scripts are "fixed", pm me and after testing they will be validated.

Thx for contributing :)

Thank you for this script! I now am able to play bioshock - thank you very much.

I installed bioshock in the german version. The batch file starting bioshock in $HOME/.PlayOnLinux/configurations/installed is created with a WRONG path. The path contains the englisch name "Program Files" but the game uses the german words "Programme". This was easy to fix though.

For me Bioshock only works unpatched, otherwise it freezes on start. The copy protection is working under wine now, so I use the original exe.

It freezes because copy protection doesn't work (I know that the game starts and displays main menu though) but If you would patch the game and then use proper NO-CD then it wouldn't freeze on loading screen.
