Does the auto mode of Crossover 25 apply to games launched from Steam?

What I mean by that is: I launch Steam from Crossover, and this is where I can chose DXMT, D3D Metal, etc., but after Steam is launched, will CrossOver be able to change the graphical API for each game I launch, or will it be set in stone as soon as Steam is launched  https://vidmate.bid/ ?
