The Steam script seems to be broken:
/usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux --run "Steam"
PlayOnLinux v3.0.8
Checking python : [ Ok ]
Steam: line 5: cd: /home/user/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/Steam/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/: No such file or directory
wine: could not load L"C:\\windows\\system32\\steam.exe": Modul nicht gefunden
I am not an expert in Wine scripts, but the double backslashs \\ do not look right to me...

Do you have Steam in that location?
I tried installing steam now! I used the default location for Steam. I could launch it without any problems. Edited by Ante

Is your username in linux "user"? seems wrong to me.
You can edit the location with this:
gedit ~/.PlayOnLinux/configurations/installed/Steam Edited by Ante

I believe the Steam installer script is broken again. Valve is not supplying an EXE installer anymore (just MSI). Downloaded the exe from cedega and installed it manually in the correct wineprefix and it is fixed again. Installerscript should be adapted to download and run this file: http://downloads.transgaming.com/files/SteamInstall.exe

msi file perfectly work with wine...Next time check before saying something wrong.
The Steam problem come from wine itself, 1.1.8 version make the steam games crash, 1.1.9 version make Steam crash...
If you wanna use Steam with wine, use 1.0.1 (stable) version to avoid the monstruous regression caused by dev versions. Edited by GNU_Raziel
