Hi

I have recently started using MX Linux 23.1 / Fluxbox with PlayOnLinux installed to run some Win apps.

When I used the "create shortcut" functionality of PlayOnLinux, this placed the shorcut files in /home/myusername/Desktop.

However, in turns out the MX Linux 23.1 Fluxbox desktop is controlled by a window manager called idesktool which stores shortcut (or link) files in a different folder:  /home/username/.idesktop

Also, the shortcut files are different:

  • idesktool uses <filename>.lnk files
  • PlayOnLinux created <filename>.desktop files

I tried copying the .desktop files to the idesktool folder (/home/username/.idesktop ) but that did not work.

Has anyone found the way to have PlayOnLinux app shortcuts showing on MX Linux 23.1 Fluxbox desktop?

Thank you
