Hi there

I'm trying to install Adobe Reader but POL is malforming the path to wine and then failing to launch it:

[POL_Wine_PrefixCreate] Message: Using wine 4.0.3
[POL_Wine_InstallVersion] Message: Installing wine version path: 4.0.3, x86

[POL_Wine] Message: Running wine-4.0.3 --version (Working directory : /home/dave/.PlayOnLinux/shortcuts)
[POL_Wine] Message: Notice: PlayOnLinux deliberately disables winemenubuilder. See http://www.playonmac.com/fr/page-26-Winemenubuilder.html
/usr/share/playonlinux/lib/wine.lib: line 567: /home/dave/.PlayOnLinux//wine/linux-x86/4.0.3/bin/wine: No such file or directory
[POL_Wine] Error: Wine seems to have crashed

As can be seen, POL (v4.3.4) is constructing the path to the wine executable with a double slash between .PlayOnLinux and wine. I've tried running POL from various different directories including the wine directory with no success.

I'm running Linux on a Pixelbook Go. The distribution is based on Debian Bullseye. Generally speaking its a really solid Linux so this is a bit odd.

$ cat /proc/version
Linux version 5.10.153-20427-ged5cf1d38f40 (chrome-bot@chromeos-release-builder-us-central1-c-x32-36-tply) (Chromium OS 15.0_pre465103_p20220825-r4 clang version 15.0.0 (/var/tmp/portage/sys-devel/llvm-15.0_pre465103_p20220825-r4/work/llvm-15.0_pre465103_p20220825/clang db1978b67431ca3462ad8935bf662c15750b8252), LLD 15.0.0) #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Dec 10 22:52:38 PST 2022

Thanks in advance for any helps

I managed to resolve this specific problem with:

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

Then I could install acrobat and run it but it soon crashes with stack overflow errors (including the recommended, tested version).

Fortunately as a Chromebook I can use the Android version which seems to do what I need.
