I have an M1 MacBook with 8GB unified memory. I'm not familiar with any of the codes and how to problem-solve. When I run steam, the store doesn't work, but I can download and run games. When I run a 32-bit game, I can hear it but all it shows is a black window in full-screen. I'm using wine to run PlayonMac; should there be any settings I should change? Is it windows 7 or 10? What MB is the graphics card? (i put max of 4000) I'll actively take any suggestions!

I've just discovered POM and installed Steam on my Mac M1 (8GB) and didn't know what to chose for the vram. So picked 4GB... I've only tested two games so far and not having much success tbh. Postal 2 runs really slow and Half-Life 2 has glitchy graphics and low framerate.  Think I need to experiment?

Unfortunately, no. I haven't had anyone tell me how to run it on the M1 MacBook. It seems that it's still in testing. If I hear anything, I'll make sure to inform you all here.

There is a workaround for the Steam issue - not that it gives you the storefront or anything like that, but does allow you to see list of your games.

1. Open up PlayOnMac.

2. Click once on the virtual drive for Steam to select it.

3. Click Configure.

4. In the empty (probably) box that is marked Arguments under the General tab (the first section you come to), add the following:

wine steam.exe -no-browser +open steam://open/minigameslist

5. Close Configuration window and fire up Steam.

No idea if this will fix any of the in game/black screen issues, but seems to be working for me.
