So i got play on mac to run just fine and i am running 32 bit windows games on my mac, what an accompolishment. 

 

But I wanted to see if it was possible to install wine 64bit. I am not able to install it using the configuration it says it will use the built in wine version because mac Catalina does not support 32 bit.  Doesn't make much sense to me. 

 

Any ideas?

 

btw i was able to download and run wine64 bit but i don't know how to use it... that's why i'm using playonmac

It looks to me like the ability to download and switch wine versions is broken in POM 4.4.1. and there are several other posts about this. The only wine available in this POM version (without hacking) is the 'system' wine which itself needs a new category (32 bit on 64 bit architecture – required for OSX Catalina & above). 32-bit only flavoured wine won't run on Catalina & above.

 

Hopefully this will be fixed in a future POM version to enable all three flavours of wine (or minimum of x86on64 replacing 32-bit only)?
