No access to Documents and Desktop?

With Catalina 10.15.4, I installed a 32-bit program with POM 4.4.1. Mostly it works very well (it's great that it now works with Catalina!).

There are two issues, though. First, the save command in the program opened in the My Documents folder and I saved (I thought) a file in it without any problems (and no "allow/do not allow" question) - until I found a little later that the folder was still empty. Luckily, I can save to other folders.

At the end of installation in POM, I chose to make a shortcut for the program. As I understand it, this produces two icons. The icon inside POM works fine, but the icon on the desktop just doesn't do anything.

Now I wonder if access to Docments and Desktop are not available because of the new privacy controls in Catalina. Any suggestions?

Same here. Using Steam, and Football Manager 2015. POM 4.4.1, MacOS Catalina. All works and loads fine, but can't view files and folders that seem to have any link to iCloud. I can save via the game, but it then can't see the file to reload, although it is clearly visible in Finder. Loading folders that are iCloud related just show as empty. No problem at all viewing files and folders on the HDD root, or other folders that aren't iCloud related. As per bjourno, FM15 is a 32bit app, if that makes any difference. Any help or cunning workarounds would be much appreciated.

Same things with POM 4.4.2 on MacOs Big Sur 11.3.1. Unable to access to files or folders in Documents, but if i create a folder, it appears very well into the finder.
