Hello,

There is no adding a serial com port for a 32bits windows application on Catalina with PlayOnMac 4.4.1.

I used regedit to add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\DEVICEMAP\SERIALCOMM with name "Serial0" and value "COM1", and I made the link

ln -s /dev/cu.usbserial-14240 com1

in the dosdevices directory.

But each time, my modifications are overwritten, and anyway in the windows application the com1 port does not work.

What's wrong ?

Regards

Hello,

The Wine version is Sytem.

I have installed dotnet35 too.

It works fine, except for the serial com port.

Regards.

Using PlayOnMac 4.4.3 on MacOS Big Sur 11.6, I could map my USB to a com port.  Here is an article I wrote for using GPS https://ezward.github.io/gps/#u-center, but go to the U-Center section for how to install on U-Center on MacOS and it has step by step instructions on how to map the serial device to a com port.  Here is a video that walks through the same thing https://youtu.be/IHblD8iwjmA
