How do I install this?

I've tried installing directx 9.0c to my virtual drive, its successful, but when I try to open sonic time twisted I still get this error

The manual of the game tells me that I should install DirectX 9.0c if this error pops up, but I have.

I'm running MacOS catalina and I'm using playonmac version 4.4.1
