I am new to PlayonMac.  I have a macbook pro on osX Mojave 10.14.6

I downloaded Playonmac a few weeks ago so on 4.3.4

I downloaded Star Trek Elite Force from myAbandonware.com - the iso for the base game and the expansion pack

I sucessfully installed both versions by mounting the iso via disk utility on mac and the installer script via playonmac.  This was all fine.

However, I tried to play the game yesterday and it says I need the CD to play it.  I have mounted the iso for both game and expansion via disk utility and I also tried doing it with Deamon Tools.

Neither are working.  All I get is a screen saying "Insert the CD"

"Yes"  " No".  If I click yes or no, I just get sent back to the main menu.  Round and round.

I have tried downloading a NoCD version of the game but I can't get this to install via Playonmac either via the script for the game or the non-listed programe,  this is "styoy.exe"

I get a POS error due to the lack of it not being a iso file.

I put the iso files in the playonmac virtual drives directory.

Any ideas how to get it to play without the CD?  I used to have the game many years ago but have long since lost the disk.

I assumed if it installed corectly with the iso mounted that it would be able to access that to play the game too.

I found the solution after hunting online and finally stumbling on the answer.

If you replace the "stvoy.exe" file in the original file directory with a no cd version it seems to be runing fine.  Went into the tutorial and started a game and both seem to be okay.
