I have installed PlayOnMac v.4.4.1 for the first time on a MacBook Pro running High Sierra (v.10.13.6), and it will not launch. Console reports this error from subsystem com.apple.appleevents, category: main:

AEGetDescData of non-desc type 'reco' not a good idea

Is this a High Sierra incompatibility? I do not wish to update this Mac to Catalina since they dropped 32 bit support, which I need for other applications. However, the most recent version of PlayOnMac says it has only been tested on Catalina. I probably won't be switching to Mojave, either, due to other weird inconveniences.

If I cannot run PlayOnMac's current version with High Sierra, will you please let me know the last version tested with High Sierra so that I can run that instead?

Thanks.

Does anyone maintain this forum? It has been two weeks, and I am still waiting for an answer about this issue that is certainly a bug. Do you have another place to file bug reports perhaps? Thanks.

If you are running Mac OS 10.14 or older and PlayOnMac version 4.4 is terminating at startup, check out my post in this thread: https://www.playonlinux.com/en/topic-17286-PlayOnMac_self_terminates_on_startup.html
