We are confident that it will work the same on macOS 11 than on Catalina (i.e. not 32bits support, wine32on64 and its limitations only) if it is running on an intel based mac.

Unfortunately, ARM mac is a very different story.

Espacially when it comes to run 32bits apps. We do have access to a Developer Transition Kit, but I cannot say too much information as I am under apple NDA. We will keep you informed soon.

Hello Admin, what is the solution?

I'm using Playonmac V 4.4.1, trying to install a non-listed Windows program in Catalina 10.15.1 and get an error.

I choose 32 bits windows installation, i says: "Please wait while the virtual drive is created" then gives an error:

Error in POL_Wine

Wine seems to have crashed

If your program is running, just ignore this message.

I click 'Next', 'Browse', select the installation file, 'Next' and again I get:

Error in POL_Wine

I previously had Playonmac 4.3.4 which I deleted before installing 4.4.1

What should I try next?

Hello Quentin,

As we all know Apple officially announced its M1 RISC-processor with its first MacBookAir based on the new architecture at Nov 10, 20 together with BigSur final version.

Do you have any vision / expectation when PlayOnMac for this architecture could be ready?

Thank you,

Denis

HI,

So far I have tried to make POM run on the DTK with no success. Theres hope that it could work better on a real M1 hardware, but I  would need to buy one to be sure.

Still the msg. Any clue to run?

Please be aware, the 4.4.1 installation now produces the Apple Warning message: "PlayOnMac.app" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

PlayOnMac 4.4.1 won't open on BigSur . I keep getting the " “PlayOnMac” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. " warning.  Will there be a version that could work with BigSur in the future?

-thank you :)
