Hello,

 

I'm trying to use wine version 2.4-staging to play Victoria 2 - however - I keep on getting the "Please wait while virtual drive is being created error" - with the two windows only showing up as small lines of pixels. I am no expert in code by any means I have been a mac user for 3 years and I really only do work on my macbook with the occasional video game.

This issue is fixed from Wine 2.22 and next.

Then why am I getting this issue?

Because you use Wine version '2.4-staging'.

Right, so isn't 2.4-staging after 2.22? You said issue is fixed from Wine 2.22 and next. [Btw its "and after", not "and next" :) ]

Ahhh I see what you mean, 2.4 is before 2.22 - I'll see if it works.

Still doesn't work - same error

1. Try a newer Wine version (ie: v3.0.3).
