Is playonlinux just a scam?

playonlinux gives the appearance of being a scam. Not a money-stealing scam, just some form of practical joke.

Despite many, many net entries and blogs saying that POL makes it easy to install and run non-Linux stuff, such is not the case.

No matter how many times one tries to install either Photoshop CS4 or CS6 from the list of 'supported' programmes (via 'install' or via manual install), one ALWAYS hits the same wall - 'can't find the .exe file. Did you install itin the default location?".

It simply does not work. It's a fiction.

In USA they say 'you get what you paid for'.  POL/POM is free.

Note: Adobe Photoshop CS4 was last updated by a contributor in 2011.

 

For a paid software and support, look at Crossover (the main contributor to Wine).
