I installed PlayOnLinux a couple days ago via command line "apt-get install playonlinux" and everytime I run "playonlinux" command, a pop up window will tell me that it should not run as root. I fully understand the risk of running as root so I want to give it user premissions. I searched everywhere on the web and I didn't found anything that would help me.

I have the latest release of Kali Linux and the latest upgrades. Any help would be very appreciated.

What is the version of POL and Kali ?

 

I think that you just installed it with a wrong (admin) account. It is not related to POL.
