Wow, I tested this one back in 2015...

I tested the GOG version in PlayOnLinux 4.2.6 and Wine 1.6.2

Game Version:  setup_zombie_shooter2_2.1.0.8.exe

Set windows version to:  Windows 7

Overrides:

  • POL_Install_corefonts
  • POL_Install_d3dx9
  • POL_Install_gdiplus
  • POL_Install_tahoma

You can also manually adjust the game resolution here:

/home/username/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/zombieshooter/drive_c/GOG Games/Zombie Shooter 2/zombieshooter2.cfg

Set the

DefaultScreenX=1920

DefaultScreenY=1080

But it will mess up the HUD because it won't resize with the resolution.

Fix:

HUD widescreen
The HUD may still appear in the middle of the screen at 1024x768
You can disable the HUD by pressing Tab
or
Go back to the Maps folder
Rename the .men files to your desired resolution:

  • damageframe1920.men
  • gamebar_gun1920.men
  • gamebar_net1920.men

Hope these tips help!
