Dear People!

I got questions as a fully beginer on this linux stuff. I didnt even downloaded it yet and i have many questions about it.
-First of all. Which version of Linux I should use to run windows programs with best chance? Tho, i dont know if it makes a difference.
-After that, what version of Wine and/or Play On Linux should I use?
-Will I be able to run the latest version of Age of Wushu ( from: http://www.ageofwushu.com/ ) on my cumputer with these programs?
-If I download a program from torrent for example and not from Steam( I know there is many games with Linux version already on Linux Steam), I will be able to install it via Wine?
-For those programs that i cant run, is it a smart idea to use virtual box with win 8.1 or 10? Will I need extra performance for this operation?

Thank You guys for the answer!
Have a nice day!

Thank you for the fast answer.
Sorry for my noob question, but ive never done this before. Setting a virtual box.
I have a licenced win 10 now. The main reason was to pick win 10, my GPU. I didnt find a win8.1 driver and im not sure that i can install this driver on win 8.1.
If I buy win8.1 and manage to install my GPU on it, it would bee a good option to tun win programs in Virtual Box?
So basicly run Ubuntu as main OS and when i try run programs what i cant, i just start Virtual Box win 8.1 and use that program there?
I will try to find some knowledge about setting virtual box and i will write to XFX or AMD if i can run my GPU on win 8.1.
