Fallout 2 installation fails

ubuntu 18.04 LTS - seems like problem with freetype fonts

As per title, trying GOG - Fallout2. I downloaded the file from GOG and trying to install but the process stops at: "Please wait thile GOG.com - Fallout 2 is installed..." - just waits forever.

Log file shows this (I omnited stuff that looks good):
