No text (due to missing fonts?)

Hi there,

I have trouble installing any application under PlayOnLinux v4.2.12 (running on Linux Mint 19) because there is no text anywhere - no instructions in the GUI, no button texts, no nothing. I assume there is a font missing that PlayOnLinux needs to display all that. I just can't figure out which one it is. Any help would be much appreciated. The following screenshot will make clearer what I mean.

Best wishes,
ParaDice.

I'm a bit confused. According to the overview, this topic has got 1 reply. However I can't see any. Is there an error in the forum software? Either way, this problem still isn't solved. ;)

Okay. Now I know how the forum works. ;) I'd love to get my POL running, too. Does anyone have a suggestion how?

Try to launch POL from console after changing locale to english (search for export LANG). It's probably an error with the translation file in your language. (weird because if not define, the program display the english text instead)

Hey there!

I didn't know where exactly I sould "search for export LANG". I'm willing to try that, but I'd need a hint of where to look. ;)

I _did_, however, change the system-wide language to English, which also made POL revert to English. The results were the same nonetheless: Again there was no text in any of the windows, apart from the headline.

Also, running POL from command line yielded three errors:

[Check_OpenGL] Warning: check_dd_x86 missing, test skipped
[Check_OpenGL] Warning: check_dd_amd64 missing, test skipped
wget-log: Permission denied; disabling logging. (about 20 times)

I'm not sure whether this is related to the issue.

Unless anyone answered my last reply, then, yes, it is still unsolved.

As I said, it's not related (was on vacation with little connection and trying to help you).

I've no other idea for now

I have just updated another one of my machines to a newer version of Linux (Mint 19.1). The problem occurs there too (on a fresh install).
