I tryed using play on linux on ubuntu with the KDE desktop, unfortunatelly all wine windows shown are only a small 100x200 pixel large thing in which you can not see any content not even the full title bar.
is there a fix for that?

The script use an old version of wine that may have some problem with some libraries.
You must go the the wine directory (in ~/.PlayOnLinux), the wine version's folder you're using for that app, and remove libfreetype / libz libraries. It should fix it

Hello,
I have the same problem (Lubuntu 18.04, installed yesterday), but I'm very new to the system and, unfortunately, I don't know how to do what you just mentioned. I can see that in the folder /home/*username*/.wine/dosdevices/z: there are folders named lib and lib64, but I don't know if what you said means I should delete all of their contents, or..? :) I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've just switched to Linux for the first time in my life. I tried searching for an explanation, but I always just find brief instructions similar to yours that seem to take for granted that users know their way around the system.
Thanks in advance!

There I have the folders gecko, linux-amd64, linux-x86 and mono, but all of them are empty. (That's where I looked first, but since there were no files, I thought maybe I'd double-check in the wine dir, sorry for not clarifying that in the first place.)
Edit: after several other tries, the installer started working normally. I didn't do anything special, it just seems to have changed its mind. :) However, some other windows in PoL (say, Wine configuration) still start as a useless little white bar that I can't resize.
