Hi Guys,

I'm using Arch Linux and noticed last night that they have wine-staging 3.4-1 https://www.archlinux.org/packages/multilib/x86_64/wine-staging/. Any news on when PoL will upgrade?

Same question. wine-staging updated to 3.5, when in POL? please

Yes, We would love to have 3.5 Staging included in PlayOnLinux.  Lutris has it as well.

Thank you

I'm tired of using Lutris's staging version in PlayOnLinux, the naming scheme is very different and I can't change the name of the directories.

I'm using the wine-staging from the official repository - winehq.org.

On Ubuntu just add the repository:

wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/Release.key

sudo apt-key add Release.key

sudo apt-add-repository https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/

Then install Wine Staging:

sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-staging

The last version will be installed on /opt. If you want you could copy to POL wine versions folder. The POL also recognize this staging version as the system version, obviously.

Hi there!

I have updated the our winebuild systems with their latest repository.

We'll see if it compiles fine.

I would love to see staging versions again in the Wine Manager.

Thank you for taking a look at this.

As I said in another post (let's maximize the probability of you seeing this ^^) it would be great to update de dev files, to have a kind of "full" wine -> https://github.com/PhoenicisOrg/WineBuild/issues/4

Unfortunately when using the new

  • 3.0-staging
  • 3.0.1-staging
  • 3.2-staging

None of them include the "stating" tab in Wine Configuration.

If one patche fail to apply, all the following patches will not be applied...

As you can see in the log that is what happened -> http://wine.playonlinux.com/logs/linux-amd64/wine-3.0-staging-linux-amd64.log

Yep... The patch failed on 3.0.

I think this has been fixed so I'll try to remove the build and see if its better or not

It seems that 3.10 staging is affected by previus version's bug: nomore "staging" tab in wine configuration....

I hope it will be fixed soon :-)

Dang, I was afraid of that.  If the "staging" tab isn't there, does that mean none of the "staging" patches work?

When will Wine 3.10 staging be available for 32 bit (x86), in the x86 panel I don't see any 3.10 staging.

booman Tuesday 19 June 2018 at 17:07

Yeah, I noticed that as well.  No 32-bit 3.10-staging which means if you are creating a virtual drive you can't initially select Wine 3.10-staging.

At least you can select another version and then switch to it later.

I tested a game this morning in 64-bit 3.10-staging and it works fine.
