I'm on ubuntu 17.10 x64, wine 3.0-rc1 32bit wineprefix (tried 2.21-staging and 3.0 with the same results) and when trying to run Origin to test my SimCity script this keeps looping in the debug window:

EDIT: I just tried it again with wine 2.21-staging and I managed to install Origin but two exe files crashed (OriginWebHelperService and  OriginClientService) and I've got the "Online connection is not possible" error on the login window.

What is up with all the webhelper exe's?  Steam, Battle.net and Origin all have them and Wine is still not able to support them... so frustrating.

With Battle.net and Steam, these errors can be ignored and everything still runs.

The only way I've been able to run Origin is installing the Legacy (Windows XP) version and logging in checking "Remember password".  Then it forces us to download the newest version which only runs on Windows 7.  There are some dwrite problems, but as long as "Remember password" was previously checked it would automatically log in.  Then I was able to download my game and create a shortcut to it.

So when I wanted to play the game, I would launch Origin first (even offline if possible) and then launch the Game separately.
