First you have to download a 64-bit version of Wine with the Wine Manager:

  1. Launch PlayOnLinux
  2. Click Tools
  3. Click Wine Manager
  4. Click 64-bit Tab
  5. Select version of Wine (left side)
  6. Click right arrow
  7. Close Wine Manager.

your suggestion does not work there is no way to use 64bit wine, i can not switch to 64bit, i dont see any options for it, i can install the 64bit version of any wine version up to 2.22, but there is no option to choose 32bit or 64bit in an installed application

Correct, once the virtual drive (wineprefix) is installed with a 32-bit version of Wine, it can not be switched to a 64-bit version of Wine.

The application will have to be installed again in a 64-bit virtual drive (wineprefix) and the 64-bit Wine will have to be selected.

If you installed the application with a PlayOnLinux installer (script) then you don't have a choice, but you can try to do a manual installation which allow you to select which version of Wine and a 32-bit or 64-bit virtual drive.

Let me know if you need help with a manual installation.
