Can't install wine versions

Hi,

Wine won't seem to install. I've run into the same issue when trying to Run both Star Trek Online, and Steam, so I think it is related to PlayOnMac.

When I install the program it tries to install the appropriate version of Wine, but that never seems to complete. It will often keep downloading and extracting the same wine version file. Sometimes the select language prompt shows up, and sometimes it says it will install windows fonts. That's as far as it gets.

Same issue when I try to install Wine Versions from POM using Tools -> Manage Wine versions. The Wine install never completes. I've tried this for Wine 2.3 and 2.12-staging and neither complete.

I haven't found any other discussions of this and don't know how to fix it. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled POM and that's didn't change anything.

Mac Version: 10.12.6

POM Version: 4.1.12

Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB (I'm using a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports))

Thank you!
Ryan

Oh it was also suggested that I manually install the wine versions using files from here: https://www.playonlinux.com/wine/binaries/darwin-x86/

But I can't figure out what filder to put the files in.

try making a new user in macos, and try it there, if it works there then there is something wrong with your user account/ i.e. system configuration of osx, also wine should be somewhere in Library folder

Thanks, I found the wine folder! Will try this.

I do think there's something up with POM on my Mac. I was able to get STO to run using a manual install of Wine, and Wine 2.13-staging (but the graphics don't render right at all).
