hi everyone,

i've install the game albatross18 under wine: it updates and all but, when the game should start, it gives an error. so i've uninstalled it, installed POL and then installed it again under wine. i try to run the game, it updates all by himself but in gives an error sign, before crashing, in the same part as before. am i doing something wrong or neither wine nor POL has support for this game? thanks in advance.

First of all, why did you try again to install albatross18 under Wine though you installed POL?
You can install non yet supported games with POL too by ticking the appropriate square in the "Install" menu.

Moreover, if you want people to help you, when encountering an issue, please give the exact error or the type of error at least.

Finally, all the albatross18's version are rated "Garbage" on Wine AppDB so since POL use Wine, there are few chances that the game will run with POL.

i've installed under pol as well (i didn't know how to do it at the moment) and it doesn't work as well (just like you said). now, the error: in the pol debug window none is shown and the only one that is shown by the game is in very strange letters (i don't have korean support, so maybe that's the reason). and if it's rated "garbage", i might as well stop thinking of playing it. thanks, nevertheless.

You are right but keep an eye on the game's Wine AppDB page to see how it evolves with the new version of Wine.

And, good to know: To have the details when having an error, launch POL via a terminal by typing
playonlinuxThus, the terminal's output will give you the details.

Hope that helps. Anyone have any ideas? GameGuard seems to be crashing the app, and I haven't found a hack yet. Mentions of hex editing the files, but no details on that yet.

That is because GameGuard doesn't work with Wine at all. Until someone find something around that you'll not be able to play on linux.
