I couldn't find a search bar anywhere so I couldn't research my problem, so, hope I'm not being rude here. Any ways, after many different tutorials and attempts got Origin launcher to work, and download my sims 3 stuff. However clicking play doesn't seem to do anything. I saw this after closing a few windows... Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000e2c in 32-bit code (0x024cf9bf). going to the ts3 launcher in the game file says Origin isn't installed.

Hey, I was able to get Origin running recently and I was able to play Kindoms of Amalur and Dead Space 3. Are you using PlayOnLinux 4.2.12? Here are some basic steps to installing Origin in PlayOnLinux manually... Origin Legacy Download Go to: www.dm.origin.com/download/legacy Launch PlayOnLinux Click "Install a non-listed program" Select "Install a program in a new virtual drive" Click Next Name the virtual drive: sims3 Click Next Check all three options:
Click Next Select Wine 2.0-staging Click Next Wine Configuration Applications Tab Note: This is critical otherwise Origin won't run Graphics Tab PlayOnLinux Packages (DLLs, Libraries, Components) Check the following:
Click Next Note: All packages will automatically download and install Click Browse Select "OriginThinSetup" from your Desktop Click Next again... Uncheck all options Check "I have read and accept..." Click OK Login to Origin Operating System Warning Click Close Roll the mouse over Sims 3 Click the "i" Click "Download" Uncheck "Create start menu shortcut" Uncheck "Created desktop shortcut" Check "I have read and accept..." Click Continue Disabling Origin In Game Overlay Click Origin Click "Origin In Game" Uncheck "Enable Origin In Game" Wait for Sims 3 to download or Create PlayOnLinux shortcut † Booman † Mint 21.3 64-bit | Nvidia 535| GeForce GTX 1650 Linux for Beginners | PlayOnLinux Guides | PlayOnLinux Explained |
